We here at Advocate basically spend all day thinking about our next meal, and we know you’re right there with us, because our Restaurant Talk posts usually get the most hits. That’s why we figure you’re as excited as we are about the LH StrEATS food truck rally coming to the LH Town Center site this Saturday from 6-9 pm.
When you lay down your $5 to enter, you’ll have access to the scrumptious offerings of So-Cal Tacos (fish tacos with slaw, anyone?), Good Karma Kitchen (even vegetarian and gluten-free can be delicious), Rockstar Bake Shop (their Whoopie Pies are to-die-for), Ssahm’s BBQ (gourmet Korean tacos) and Gandolfo’s NY Deli (home of the Carnegie Hall corned beef sandwich).
They’ll also have Jo Dawgs (if you haven’t had gruyere on your hot dog, have you really lived?), Coolhaus (cookie ice cream sandwiches), Nammi Truck (Vietnamese fusion tacos and spring rolls), The Butcher’s Son (Johnsonville bratwurst and sausage) and Easy Slider (what’s a mini-burger without a little goat cheese and strawberry jam?).
The event is the brainchild of the new LH Branding Committee, a collaboration of reps from various LH organizations hoping to promote our neighborhood like a mini-Chamber of Commerce might. Funds raised will be used to further build a unique brand for LH, particularly in the eyes of businesses looking to build here and homeowners looking to buy here.
To attend, simply show up and pay your $5 per person at the door. Kids 12 and under are free. See you there!
