The first day of spring is next Tuesday, March 20, and soon after, a rite of spring: Little league baseball.
Dallas Little League’s opening ceremonies are from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 24 at Winfrey Point. A parade to include former Texas Rangers and other VIPs will travel from Winfrey Point to the ball fields. Arianna Dela Vega will sing the National Anthem, and a World War II plane from Cavanaugh Flight Museum will do a flyover.
The ceremonial first pitch takes place at noon, and we hear there could be a super VIP on the mound. Stay tuned.
