We also featured WWII vet Bernice Press in this November’s story about amazing seniors about town. 92-year-old Press, recently went on the (unbelievably awesome) Honor Flight trip to D.C. and as I write, is preparing for the Veterans Day service tomorrow at CC Young.

Also, a “Semper Fi” and “happy birthday” to all the Marines in the neighborhood and around the country today — John Reeg, Donovan Campbell and his men, Colby Vokey, (all Marines we have written about recently) my dad (a Vietnam vet) and grandfather (a WWII vet), to name a few — as they celebrate 236 years!
