October 1 at Lake Highlands Town Center: Oktoberfest

Friendly reminder …

Plan to be here: The Exchange Club of Lake Highlands and the Lake Highlands Area Early Childhood PTA’s Lake Highlands Oktoberfest will take place on the Lake Highlands Town Center property at Skillman and Walnut Hill, October 1 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Exchange Club Lake Highlands members Adam Meierhofer and Tate Gorman (check out Tate’s pre-Oktoberfest happenings too) came up with, and are organizing, the fundraising event, which will include tons of family fun; food and beverages from local restaurants including Kuby’s, The Grape, Eat the World, Urban Crust (more about Urban Crust), Fat Daddy’s and Enchiladas; beer; live music and games.

Oktoberfest proceeds will help fund scholarships for Lake Highlands students and more. Visit lhexchangeclub.org for more information.

Hey just a quick correction – the pizza folks that will be there is Urban Crust – a downtown Plano restaurant that’s been serving up great wood-fired pies for two years.  LH’s own Salvatore Gisellu is the chef partner at Urban and will have their mobile pizza truck at Oktoberfest along with the other great food folks.  Hope everyone comes out for a great time.
