Lake Highlands High will have a special ceremony for baseball coach Jay Higgins tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Wildcats Field.
Higgins has been at the helm for the Wildcats since 1968, and 25 of his teams have made the playoffs. He was also inducted into the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame last summer.
The currently third place Wildcats will play first place Jesuit tonight at 7 p.m. in hopes of keeping pace with second place W.T. White in the District 9-5A playoff race.
This will also be the last regular season home game for the Wildcat seniors.
