Wildcats tie Mansfield Legacy

LHHS' Joel Mendoza scored the Wildcats' only goal against Mansfield Legacy. Play in the Ice Bowl resumes tonight.

The Wildcats men’s soccer team tied Mansfield Legacy last night at The Boneyard 1-1 in the Ice Bowl Tournament. Junior Joel Mendoza scored on a penalty kick, and several players were out due to injury.

The team plays again at home tonight against Allen at 7:30 pm, then faces Garland High at noon on Saturday. The players may be hoping for two big wins to put them into the finals, but their girlfriends aren’t. The Highlandettes’ big Winter Formal is Saturday night at the Petroleum Club, the same time as the championship game at The Boneyard. Go Cats?
