The pumpkins are coming

Pumpkins on the St. James Episcopal Church lawn (McCree and Audelia) signify fall as much as the cooler (hey, 80 degrees is cooler) weather. Those orange spheres signify the dawn of the holiday season.

For the rest of you, drum roll, the pumpkins arrive Oct. 3 and you can take your pick of the patch beginning the next day.
