After suffering its first district loss on Saturday, the Lake Highlands softball team bounced back with a key win over Molina, 5-1, on Tuesday.

Both Molina and Lake Highlands were tied for first with Creekview at the time, but LH pounded out seven hits, including doubles by Erin Brennan and D.J. Sandidge for a 5-1 win. Brennan also picked up the win.

LH is now in a two-way tie for first with Creekview, with both standing at 6-1 in District 9-5A play. LH takes on Skyline at home today (April 1) at 7:30 p.m. (JV at 5:30).

The Lady Wildcats fell to Creekview, 7-5, on Saturday, to create the logjam. Neither team played a particularly clean game with Lake Highlands committing eight errors and Creekview committing four. Sandidge led the offense with a double and a triple and Ashley Hudson added a double.
