"It’s pretty special to both get the team title and go one-two [in the all-around]," Morrison said.

Morrison topped the podium in all of the disciplines except floor, where she placed third.

Van Meter placed first on floor, second on vault and uneven bars and fifth on beam. DeCosta placed third on beam, fourth on vault and eighth on uneven bars and floor.

The margin of victory has the team feeling good about its chances of win the team title at the state meet, April 15-17 in Alvin.

"We feel very confident about winning the state title," Van Meter said. "We had to have perfect [performances] today, and the fact that we were and won by seven points feels really good."
