LHHS senior Chase Davis is excited about tonight’s playoff game against Sachse. “Mr. Punctuality,” as Coach Brindley playfully calls him, has high hopes for the team’s chances. “If we play the way we can play and move the ball around, we can go all the way.”

Chase, who played club soccer for Andromeda, says his soccer playing days are over when the season comes to an end. He’ll attend either Texas Tech or UT in the fall and focus on his studies. That’s why he wants to give these last few games everything he’s got.

Surprisingly, Chase credits sophomore Mason Miller as his biggest role model on the team. “Even though he’s younger, I love his mentality as a leader. He keeps us pumped up for the games.”

If he didn’t play soccer, Chase says he thinks he would enjoy playing hockey. “It’s a great game,” he jokes, “and it’s legal to hit people.”

On game day, Chase finds energy from pasta in his lunch and Red Hot Chili Peppers on his ipod. The best part is seeing his friends in the stands to cheer the team on – “it’s a lot more fun and exciting when they call my name.”

And Chase has a message for fans in LH – “Come out and support us tonight. Every fan is a blessing, and the big crowds make us feel like the community is behind us. If we keep up our intensity, we know we can win it.”
