How the Wildcats fare in the three remaining regular-season basketball games will go a long way in determining whether they make the playoffs. Lake Highlands (6-5 in District 9-5A) is in fifth place and remains one game behind Skyline (7-4) and Richardson (7-4) for one of the four available playoff spots.

Berkner (10-1) has already clinched a playoff spot and Creekview (9-2) can seal up a spot with one win in its final three games.

LH plays Tuesday night against WT White (6:30 JV, 8:00 varsity) at Loos Field House. The Wildcats finish their schedule with Creekview at home and Molina on the road.

If there were to be a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot, the first tiebreaker is the head-to-head matchup. Because LH split both games with both Skyline and Richardson, this would not settle anything.

Coach Rob Wylie said the next tiebreaker is an extra “play-in” game, with the winner making the playoffs and the loser staying home.
