That was our own Wildcat Wranglers on WFAA’s Good Morning Texas yesterday after 9 am, dancing to the songs of former Wrangler, now country music artist Granger Smith. Smith, who played football and joined the founding Wrangler team at LHHS, performed two of his hits live – “Gypsy Rain” and the title song from his new CD, “Don’t Listen to the Radio.”
The performance was part of the buildup to this Sunday’s benefit concert at the LHHS B field at 5 pm. The outdoor show will have a small town country feel, with attendees packing their blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic dinners for the whole family. Tickets are $10, and proceeds will go to the Wild for Cats academic booster club and the Wranglers scholarship fund. You can purchase tickets at LHHS or online here (click on “store”).
