The Rangers weren’t the only local team that swept a doubleheader Tuesday. The Lake Highlands volleyball team won both of its matches at the LHHS gym.

LH beat a strong McKinney Boyd team in a grueling, five-game match. Then the Wildcats beat Rowlett, 25-13, 25-22, in a match shortened because of time constraints.

"Tonight we definitely came out more aggressive," libero Christina Flanagan said. "We have been practicing really hard and our chemistry on the court is really setting in."

The Wildcats’ next match is Friday at Flower Mound Marcus. JV is 6 p.m. followed by varsity at 7 p.m.

"We were consistent all-around and our scrappiness won the game," Flanagan said. "It’s great to see how we are improving in these games."
