The Dallas planning and zoning commission last Thursday unanimously voted down a request for rezoning that would have allowed a dance hall at 9220 Skillman, just north of I-635 in Lake Highlands. Attorney Steve Wakefield, who rallied his neighbors to oppose the request at last week’s public hearing says the applicant could theoretically appeal to the city council, but would need two thirds of the city council’s support, which isn’t likely to happen.
