The guys at TheOldCoach.com do a great job tracking the area and state high school football scene. I run into their reps at lots of games. TheOldCoach.com is also part of the Rivals.com network. In other words, they’re legit, and they offer an alternative to the DMN’s rankings.
Having said all that, they must like Lake Highlands to rank the Wildcats No. 9 in the area – six spots higher than the DMN has them. Of course, rankings are only opinions, but they’re fun to follow and are an acknowledgement of a team’s efforts.
