Update: Police confirm cat was killed by a human

We’ve been following the recent rash of cat killings on this blog—and today,  Dallas Observer  is reporting that at least one of the recently killed cats in Northwest Dallas was killed by a human.

After a veterinarian examined the remains of one of the cats, it was determined that the animal was strangled to death, and then cut in half with a sharp blade.

As we reported earlier this week, the police have a formed a task force to investigate these cat slayings. Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at  214.672.0567. A Sparkman neighbor is also offering a $500 reward to any information that leads to an arrest.
