Columnist James Ragland last week brought the story to light about the Lake Highlands Marine and war vetran whose homeowners association had threatened to tow his car if he didn’t remove the Marine Corps decals. Ragland wrote a follow-up column for  today’s paper, reporting that the HOA president and other board members have failed to return his calls. In fact they haven’t said a word. To anyone. Not even Frank Larison, the resident in question. The story got a load of publicity and Ragland writes that he received countless calls and e-mails about it. It looks like the HOA might think if they stay quiet it might all go away. I think that would probably be OK with Larison who says he’s just glad they haven’t towed his ride.
