To add a tidbit to Jeff Siegel’s early voting update: Sunday afternoon I passed the Audelia Road library I noticed some familiar faces in the parking lot — Mayor Tom Leppert, District 10 Councilman Jerry Allen, District 9 Councilman Sheffie Kadane and his opponent John Yourse, to be exact. I stopped and chatted for a minute — met Yourse for the first time. The candidates said they were just out campaigning and getting to know people. I didn’t see or get to meet Allen’s opponent Don Sanders, though he seemed to be well represented out there. Anyway, I passed the library several times over the weekend (as I am in the process of moving from one side of Lake Highlands to the other), and it appears the early voters in our district are out in fairly large numbers — the Audelia Road voting spot (which accommodates district 9 and 10 voters) was packed all weekend long.
