Wow — I just received some cool news from Back Talk reader/ contributor BJ Ellis about Joseph Encina, an amazing young man we wrote about last summer (see that here). Over the weekend, he won the 2009 USA Yoga Asana Championship, which makes him a REALLY big deal (but we knew all along he was gonna do great things). Check out this photo from the competition — Joseph is center stage smiling brightly into the camera. I am in no way surprised he won. I’ve taken his class at Bikram and — whew — you’d have to experience it to understand how good he is. And you CAN — here’s a link to the class schedule. He’s right here near the ‘hood.
