Lots of folks choose to make their homes here in our somewhat woodsy lakeside neighborhood because of the gorgeous environs that include all sorts of interesting plants, parks and wildlife. If you’re really into the nature and wildlife thing, I strongly suggest you check out the Master Naturalist open house tomorrow night at 7 p.m. The group meets up in North Dallas, but much of their activities — birdwatching, gardening, community services galore and much much more — happen right here near White Rock Lake. I hung out with these folks for a little while when I was writing this story last summer. Their passion is invigorating, and really made me appreciate the all the loveliness surrounding me right here in the middle of the big bad city.
