Tonight (Monday, Dec. 1) at 5:30 at Parks Department Northwest Highway Office at Flag Pole Hill, consultants will present their draft plan for lighting White Rock Lake, according to a post on Pegasus by White Rock area neighbor Chip Northrup. The topic of what type and how much lighting to put in place around the lake has been a hot one since last summer when neighbors noticed a lakeside light installation project was already underway. They HAAATED it, so, led in part by Northrup, they managed to get the project halted (though several thousands of dollars worth of lights had already been purchased).

As a frequent user of the lake, I’ve put some of my thoughts out there, though I am open to learning more (at tonight’s meeting, perhaps). Northrup. for one, has been very up-front about his thoughts on the matter.
