Twenty five 6- to 11-year-old "ambassadors from Uganda" will perform at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, 8525 Audelia, tomorrow night (Dec. 5) at 7. They are the African Children’s Choir. They are bright-shining and full of song, but the message they bring is serious.

According to the church’s newsletter, the children "bring an urgent message from their families in Africa. Our help is desperately needed to educate the hundreds of children back home whose lives have been disrupted by war, famine, and AIDS."

By being a part of this tour, the children will secure their a spot in an educational program.

A good cause, plus adorable children who can belt out a tune — what a perfect opportunity for some warm fuzzy moments with family and friends. The performance is free, but if you didn’t guess already, these kids could use some cash, so if you can afford to make a donation, do it … cheerfully!
