Just when you thought volleyball and football playoffs were enough excitement, the LHHS drumline traveled to Lewisville for the Lone Star Classic Drumline Competition on Saturday.
Lake Highlands placed fourth in the top division, an impressive accomplishment. But junior Jordan Brooks was awarded an individual first place in the multi-tenor solo competition (those are they guys that march playing four drums out front). He performed "Everlasting", his own composition, to achieve standout recognition among talented musicians from the area. Congratulations to Mr. Lebrecque, who directs the drumline and was the writer/arranger of their music, and to the entire drumline.
