Select AMC theaters , such as AMC Highland Village, are participating in a Summer MovieCamp where all proceeds help benefit different charity groups such as Variety -The Children’s Charity and the Will Rogers Institute. Starting June 25 through Aug 6, children and their parents can catch a children’s movie every Wednesday at 10 a.m for just a buck. There is also a Summer MovieCamp $3 Kid Pack which includes popcorn, a drink and a snack — a pretty sweet deal considering the usual prices of theater food.

Though it’s not a charity effort, Studio Movie Grill also is offering a special screening for kids and parents every Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m. Kids get in for $1 and parents for $2, and the movie titles change every week.
