Studio Movie Grill had their "Royal Opening" this past Saturday night and it certainly set the stage for today’s public opening. If you wondered what those swirling lights in the sky were on Saturday night, it was the Klieg lights from the parking lot, brought in for the occasion.

You would never recognize that this was once an abandoned Albertsons.  Brian Shultze and partner Martin Massman have done a great job inside and they pulled out all the design stops.  The theater has 100% Dolby EX Digital sound, as well as custom Christie projection systems.  First rate seating and food service, too.  The lobby is way upscale compared to anything in past, and has a modern, minimalist feel to it.  The bar in the back-center is a comfortable place to relax.  If you have ever been turned off by the industrial-type restrooms in large cinemas, then you’ll think that you have stepped into upscale restaurant heaven when you see the ones at SMG. Finally, the parking is ample and the lot at night is lit up like you wouldn’t believe, making it safe and easy to find your car after your night of fun, food and a flick.
